We are slowly approaching Christmas, and at Moipone Fleet we thought to donate Groceries, Toys and Stationary to the little boys and girls of Home Sweet Home – a children’s home in Vosloorus. The team welcomed us with warm arms and were pleased with our donation. Equally as excited were the kids who thoroughly loved their Christmas gifts! Through song and dance, the little ones expressed their gratitude to the mighty Moipone Fleet team.
Amid a pandemic, many individuals have experienced job losses, salary cuts and many financial difficulties. And because empowering others is one of the Moipone values, we partnered with Rearabilwe Community Development Center in Saulsville, Atteridgeville Pretoria to give away food hampers to the less fortunate affected by the pandemic in that community, on 23 October 2020.
Over and above the food hampers, our staff were generous enough to donate clothing items to assist the disadvantaged in that community. Moipone Fleet also hosted a Skills Development program where our staff members gave career advice, in line with the positions they hold at Moipone Fleet, to the youth of Saulsville. Due to Covid-19 regulations, only a few colleagues, including management, represented the entire organization at the Rearabilwe Community Development Center. We look forward to working again with Rearabilwe Community Development Center in the near future.
Heritage is a big part of who we are. Heritage Day celebration in the work place allows us to recognize and appreciate our differences and uniqueness within the organisation. Ahead of the Heritage Day public holiday on September 24th, our staff came dressed in their different traditional attires and enjoyed various tasty traditional dishes. We closed the party off with the trending Jerusalem Challenge.
After months of working from home, it was necessary to celebrate something when we returned to the office. Women’s Month was the perfect excuse to ‘get our groove on’. Moipone Fleet wishes all women a very happy Women’s Month!
